Rab Kilgour joined the club in 1978. A full-back, he impressed everyone on his debut against Rangers. However, he rarely scaled those heights again and was destined to be a fringe player at Easter Road. His short career at Hibs ended when he was granted a free-transfer and moved on to St Johnstone.

After five years at Muirton Park he finished his career with Newtongrange Star.
