Current Comments
2 comments so far (post your own)Alex Linwood was Hibs' centre-forward before Lawrie Reilly came to prominence. A determined and intelligent leader, he was adept at positioning himself and readily available without the ball. Also, had very good heading ability.
Capped Vs Wales in 1950 (as a Clyde player).

Linwood scored 111 goals during the war years and also played 1 game for Scotland against England, just why a player like him was so over looked at International level is anyone's guess.
