4 comments so far (post your own)In his relatively short time at the club Joe McBride showed he was one of the best strikers around. His haul of 19 goals from 23 games, in his first season, equates to an awesome 83% success ratio !
Despite this he was apparently forced out of the club because he refused to move home from Glasgow to Edinburgh.

Misc/trivia :- Legendary Celtic all-time great Jimmy McGrory rated McBride the best Celtic centre-forward he had ever seen.

joe was and still is one of my hibs heroes the two goals he scored against celtic especially the one on the volley from 20yrds. RIP.
