I stay in Peebles and attended this game as a very young lad accompanied by my father.
The 50th anniversary of this game is approaching fast and the local press are about to do a wee article.
I've just been speaking to a guy who is about to be interviewed on his recollections of the game. He showed me the official match programme which cost 3d - old money speak!

First game my dad bought me to aged 5 will never forget it.have lived in Dublin since 1969 but still a regular at easter road with my own son.

Wikipedia mentions a 23-2 defeat by Partick Thistle but I cant find any trace of it in the Cup tie listings. Any one know anything about this?
