Eric Stevenson scored the first with a 15 yard drive. Jimmy O'Rourke headed the second from Jim Scott's cross. The third was the best, - John Baxter made a 60 yard run, took a return pass from O'Rourke and then smashed an unsaveable left footer into the net from the edge of the box. In the last minute Ronnie Simpson saved a penalty from Thirds' John Anderson.
