Joe Harper was dropped, Pat Stanton was consigned to the bench and Mick Wilson and Lindsay Muir were given a run. Rangers took advantage and won with goals from Alex MacDonald, Martin Henderson and Derek Johnstone.
Stanton replaced Barry.
