2 comments so far (post your own)Remember this game well because secondary schools took penalties at half-time with two players taking five each. One week Easter Road and the next Tynecastle. I was in goals for Drummond and the score was Drummond 5 Liberton 7 (I trooped off in tears!). Also had the pleasure of getting to know the scorer that day, the late Bobby Smith, through the pub and bookies. We could do with him now.

Derek Parlane put Rangers ahead. Bobby Smith equalised with a great goal - a 25-yard thunderbolt which went in off the underside of the bar.
Muir replaced Schaedler.
Eddie Turnbull said :- "Last week's game with Rangers was more physical than the purist would prefer but these hard and bruising games are quite commonplace in the Premier League."
