Celtic won 2-0 through goals by Bobby Duncan (og) and Bobby Lennox.

Of course the game will be remembered for Bobby Duncan being carried off with a broken right leg, the result of a bad tackle by Celtic's John Hughes. Apparently, Bobby also suffered severe damage to his ankle ligaments. Alan Cousin came on as sub to replace him.
