Clyde scored on 28 minutes when Turnbull lost the ball to Dan Currie who passed it to centre-forward John Coyle - his shot deflected off Baxter for the only goal. Late on, Baker had a goal chalked off for handball.

I've just looked through several match reports and no one opposition player is mentioned. There seems to have been two injuries, one after quarter of an hour and another on forty minutes. The one on 40mins is reported as a twisted knee.

A staunch Hibs follower then (and still am) I was at that Scottish Cup Final v Clyde at Hampden. Terrible game, hardly any action at all. To make matters worse, after the match, our train coaches were battered with beer bottles as it left the station, going back to Edinburgh. The beer bottles were (of course) empty!
