Brechin City keeper Sandy Henderson was the star of the show, pulling off many great saves to deny Hibs. He also saved a penalty from Joe Davis. But he was beaten by Peter Cormack, who scored with a diving header before half-time, and later by Jimmy O'Rourke.

Referee :- R.K. Wilson, Glasgow.
