Hibs' form throughout April was pretty indifferent, this game being a classic example.
Tom McAdam, Colin McAdam and John Bourke scored for the hosts. Jim Black played his final game for Hibs - he was later transferred back to Airdrie on 10/08/1974.

Smith replaced Black.

Referee :- J. Callaghan, Glasgow.

Remember this game well. Pretty sure Hibs were 3-0 down and when Duncan scored the equalizer me and my mate ran on the pitch to congratulate AD. I was aged 11 and went with the excursion buses that used to leave St Andrew's bus station.

A pivotal game in its way....Jim Black's last appearance and Jimmy O'Rourke's last start. The first real fracturing of the tornadoes.
