John Davie was a centre-forward, whose best years were at Brighton & Hove Albion (1936-46) - 101 FL apps,42 gls. Went to non-League Stockton, then Barnsley signed him on 24/12/1946. He was given a free transfer in cs 1947 and finished his career with Kidderminster Harriers.
