Joined Raith Rovers in season 1906/07. Emigrated to Australia in 1912, and when war broke out he enlisted in the 9th Battalion of the Australian Infantry Forces. Went to France in March 1916. Killed in action at Ypres on 21 December 1917. He is commemorated on the Menin Gate, Ypres.
