He was loaned to Hibs, from East Fife, to cover a goalkeeping crisis. Won League Cup with the Fifers in 1947, but missed League and Scottish Cup Finals in 1949/50 due to injury. Went to Kilmarnock in 1951, - r/u in 1952 League Cup Final.
After playing ran a motor factor business.
