His transfer to Portsmouth was mentioned in newspapers 21 April 1932. Most likely transferred the day before.

Born on 18/07/1911 at Cambusnethan, he signed for Pompey on 21/04/1932 from Hibernian and left the following year to join Bournemouth. Later clubs were Port Vale, Preston NE, Norwich City and Ipswich Town. He died in 1979.
